Javascript is a scripting language, invented by Netscape, embedded in web pages which adds interactivity and visual effects. To see the effects, you should make sure that your browser is compatible with Javascript and it is enabled. Three major browsers which support it are:
| BigNoseBird's Javascript | A good site with some useful cut-and-paste examples |
| www.javascripts.com | An immense site with hundreds of examples |
| Netscape's JScript reference site | A lot of good info on programming in Javascript |
| Special Edition: Using Javascript | A good accessible site with plenty of information |
| Another good way to get code from the 'net is to find an effect you like and "View Source" and cut the bits out that you like. Or of course, you could join a usergroup. | |
Try not to get Javascript and Java confused. They are completely different and people will laugh at you.
